As we enter the 4th week of the season, the days draw in with a frosty edge, sharp and distinct. Our pride stalks lightning, sparring through the Fearns, hides aloft with the blood of beaten bobcats. Onwards they press.
Poetics aside, Rougham are off to a strong start. Despite our Lions being the brightest shade of green, they dealt a blistering 5-0 blow to the Stowmarket Bobcats, proving they are not to be underestimated in their debut season. On similar form, the Ratts sit at the top of the leaderboard, shoulder to shoulder with the Lions’ next opponent: Thurston Lightnings; only suffering defeat only to their fellow club members, the Fearns, who have still have much to prove, with only the one game under their belt.
We attribute this excellent start to the reformed and extra training sessions, now running on Saturdays as well the existing Wednesdays. Paul and Tom have been doing an excellent job of formulating a variety of drills leading into intense match play, the fruits of which will be clear to see as the season advances.
